We are pleased to present Limestone – a blend of 70% Grüner Veltliner and 30% Viognier grown on a limestone hillside in western Maryland. Grown on a limestone hillside in western Maryland, this Grüner Veltliner offers distinctive citrus and white pepper aromas and silky texture. A timely harvest on September 8, 2015 captured balanced natural acidity from the vineyard. Fermented with native yeast in stainless steel to preserve delicate aromas. 150 cases bottled unfiltered June 5, 2017.

2016 Home Vineyard Chardonnay

This Chardonnay, grown in channery loam soils overlaying a bedrock of greenstone schist, offers bright aromas and rich complexity. A timely harvest on September 23rd captured brisk acidity from the vineyard. Fermented with native yeast in a mix of 85% stainless steel and 15% French oak. 210 cases bottled April 23, 2016.

2016 Premier Chardonnay

This Chardonnay was grown in our home vineyard which sits at 750’ elevation in the rolling hills of Maryland’s Northern Piedmont. The Glenelg series soil is characterized by deep, well drained channery loam formed in residuum weathered from greenstone schist. The Chardonnay block rests on a 5% slope with southern aspect. The vines are half clone 76 and half clone 96, all grafted to 101-14 rootstock, trained on VSP and planted at 1,361 vines per acre. The grapes earmarked for our Premier Chardonnay were harvested on September 16, 2016 and fermented with native yeast in 50% new French oak, 25% neutral French oak and 25% stainless steel. 100 cases bottled unfiltered June 5, 2017.

2017 Muscat

This Muscat was grown at Turkey Point Vineyard on the banks of the Northeast River. It offers flashy Muscat aromas including a medley of flowers like marigold, daisy and white rose along with lemon peel and Asian pears. On the palate, Mandarin orange and its blossoms, green papaya and green apples. Lean and bright, but with a lovely creamy texture. A timely harvest on September 9, 2017 captured ripeness and balance in the vineyard. Crafted with minimal intervention and fermented with native yeast in stainless steel. 150 cases bottled unfiltered March 13, 2018.

2017 Sauvignon Blanc

This Sauvignon Blanc was grown at Carroll Springs Farm on a rolling hillside overlaying a bedrock of greenstone. It’s characterized by aromas of grapefruit, lemon curd, granny smith apples, gooseberry and hints of passionfruit, basil and freshly cut grass. On the palate it shows flavors of lime juice and yellow pears with bracing acidity and creamy texture from aging on lees. A timely harvest on September 11, 2017 captured ripeness and freshness from the vineyard. Blended with 3% Albariño to add complexity. Fermented with native yeast in stainless steel. 125 cases bottled unfiltered March 13, 2018.
